Hello and Welcome. Tara is a Surface Pattern & Illustration Licensing Artist for Home, Textiles, Stationery, Lifestyle and Children's markets.

She finds the world a wondrous place when you put images, pattern & product together.

Her portfolio is filled with warmth, colour, nature, and storytelling using a modern traditional approach.

I am Tara Ritchie, and I live in Etobicoke, a suburb of the big city of Toronto, with my husband, two teen daughters, and my two cats, Princess and Disco.

I’m an Operations Pre-Sales implementation Support person, turned Full-Time Mom and after years of raising my family and being an entrepreneur, I came across Surface pattern design and art licensing.

I like to create patterns and licensing-ready artwork that become conversation pieces. Every pattern I design is crafted to infuse your life with warmth, creativity, and a feeling of connection.

My trend inspired style is a mix of flat shapes with texture created through brush strokes and playing with lots of colours. I love working in vector. That’s the techie in me that I can’t seem to shake!

The Full Story

A family of five posing on a rocky coastline near the ocean, with cliffs and buildings in the background on a sunny day.

Two young women with light skin and long hair standing close together in front of a window with plants behind them in a garden or greenhouse setting, smiling softly.

Inspiration is everywhere — from the rhythm of daily life, and the textures of nature to the unexpected beauty of art seen out in the wild, which really means city living.

I aim to help you to transform your space and help you tell a story. I really believe that patterns become conversation pieces. Every pattern I design is crafted to infuse your home with warmth, creativity, and a feeling of connection.
